Unexpected Stories.
Yesterday I met a woman. She has two daughters, her first born now being their family’s breadwinner ever since their father died; and her youngest who happens to have a mental disorder. While she was telling her story, I was looking at her. She was old, thin, and small… and her eyes, they seemed to be so tired and weary. I was surprised when she told me that most of the time it is only her who takes care of her youngest (Her oldest child does not want to and does not go home ), and she admitted that sometimes she find it difficult to handle the mood swings of her child. She cried to me, she told me how much she is worried about her daughter’s welfare. I told to myself “How was she able to deal with these things at an old age?”
And I think this is the answer: Because she is a mother.
A mother will do anything or everything for the sake of her children. She will always find a way to meet the needs of her children even if it means sacrificing her own.
I want to thank this woman for making me realize the greatness of a mother’s love for her children, and how I sometimes took it for granted.

These are some pictures of the makeshift memorial near Sandy Hook Elementary School. As I looked at each photos, I can’t help myself not to feel sad especially when I remember the faces of those children killed. How could such innocent ones suffer that kind of death? I pray for those children, as well as the six adult women who laid their lives to save the other children. I believe they are now angels in heaven.
That moment when you listen to a movie soundtrack and then flashbacks of your favorite scenes come.
The era where there are no cellphones and internet, only books and letters.
It will be worth while to have it back.
The Garland of Roses
After months of not praying the rosary… I finally gave myself a chance to pray it once again. And right after I finished praying, I felt refreshed and relieved. There’s an unexplainable feeling of being more alive, as if my soul just had a spa. :)
I realized praying the rosary isn’t just about offering intentions or for keeping us safe (childhood belief), but it is also Mama Mary’s way of drawing us closer to her and to Jesus. I also realize that praying the rosary helps us to understand life as it is and helps us deal with life the way Jesus and Mama Mary did.
Thank you Mama Mary and Papa Jesus for this experience and realization. :)
